There is the same issue in RBD.
Create a two level packages structure, such as lev1.lev2. Select lev1 and do some selected resources searches on it. EGL search could only return the results in package lev1. But Eclipse file search could return the results in both lev1 and its child level lev2.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import the PI in attatchment.
2. Select the package MainProject/EGLSource/lev1, then open EGL search wizard.
3. Set the Search string as "funcInLibLev2", Search for as "Function", Limit to as "All occurrences", Scope as "Selected resources", then click Search button.

Actual results: Only one result in lev1 package returned here. But if I go to File Search wizard, input "funcInLibLev2" in Containing text, and "*" in File name patterns, also choose "Select resources" in Scope; I will get the results both in lev1 and in its child package lev2. I think the return results in Eclipse File Search are more reasonable.

Deferring to 1.0 - this is a low priority defect that also occurs in RBD
