Thomas,  I committed these and a couple more commits sprucing it up, adding configuration for the client, javadoc, etc.

in the future, where possible, make sure your commit messages are prefix'd by the JETTY or BUG number they relate to.

Jesse, sure will add the #bugzilla to the commit message as I normally always do. This time there was no bugzilla issue before you asked me for one as I thought the JETTY-1415 issue is sufficient.
