While investigating https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=356514, I noticed that combo boxes are completely broken with VE;  launching into preview I noticed errors referencing egl.org.eclipse.edt.rui.history is undefined.  Specifically, Combo.egl references HistoryHelper, which is an externaltype....and I don't think it's being loaded by deployment.

(Apologies if this problem has already been documented / fixed....)

This is a duplicate of 358425.
We can have a workaround to bypass this defect, the combo boxes can work now.
