Description Stephan Herrmann CLA 2011-09-26 10:19:01 EDT
It seems that indentation produced from rich strings is easily confused
if the sources contain a mix of single space characters and tabs.
Unfortunately, the warnings and quickfixes typically appear in wrong
positions in this case.

While ideally I would wish that invisible differences don't make a difference
I can imagine this to be quite hard.

To help in this situation I suggest to enable "Show Whitespace Characters"
in xtend2 editors by default. If possible this should be done without
affecting other editors.

Although I agree that it usually makes sense to enable whitespace when editing rich strings in Xtend, the show whitespace option is a general text editor preference. I don't think that we should make this different for Xtend editor only. I'm not aware of any other code editor that allows this configuration independent from workspace preferences.
