Variable transparency setting for VE disappeared in linux

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Web Client Project, create a RUIHandler
2. Open RUIHandler with VE
3. Click 'Show transparency controls' Toggle button
4. Fully transparency and Dotted transparency pattern shows, but no Variable transparency setting

I saw this also happens in RBD. Does it work as design?

I am not sure if it is working as designed, or if it is a bug in both RBD and EDT.  

I think this defect should be left open and deferred until we resolve some of the more important issues and have time to determine why this is happening.
