Bug 358399

Summary: Subversive can not be installed (properly) on windows 7
Product: [Technology] Subversive Reporter: Steven <mail>
Component: CoreAssignee: Igor Burilo <igor.burilo>
Status: RESOLVED WORKSFORME QA Contact:
Severity: critical

Version: unspecified
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 7
Whiteboard:

Description Steven CLA 2011-09-21 07:47:03 EDT
Build Identifier: PDT 2.2.0, Eclipse 3.6 / PDT 2.1-SR2, Eclipse 3.5-SR2

using a clean installation from the pdt all-in-one installation packages
windows 7 32 bit
clean workspace
either way to install:
- in Eclipse 3.6 through marketplace
- through update site
fails!

it gets installed properly and if you go to help->about eclipse->installation details the plugin shows as installed (also connectors and svn kit).
but when you go to windows->preferences->team there is no SVN.
also no where else can I find any option to use SVN.
there is no error of any kind during the installation process.
the only suspicious I can imagine is that I do not get to choose to install a connector after restart, which as I understand the installation guide, should appear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install clean PDT
2. install subversive
3. restart eclipse
4. try to add a project from svn

I've tried it under the same conditions. Works fine for me.
