Description

Yep. No commands, no keybindings (Ctrl+. / Ctrl+,). Keybindings (and the Next/Prev difference arrow) appear to work, however, it only navigates to the next file, not to the next difference within the file. This makes it very difficult to move through all the differences. IIRC, this did work with the 1.0 release. This bug is for the Git Tree Compare View, which is what you get when you Compare With -> Something Else... from the Package Explorer. The Next/Previous Difference commands and their corresponding keybindings are simply not there in the Git Tree Compare View, even in the latest EGit release, 1.1.0.201109151100-r. This makes it very inconvenient because you have to drill down into every folder and package before you can get to the place where you are actually comparing anything. Comment 2 refers to Git tree behavior in the Synchronize View, which is what you get when you Team -> Synchronize from the Package Explorer. This is a different bug, and it is covered by bug 361306. Mind you, it is equally annoying, and together, both bugs make comparing anything with EGit quite tedious. :) This is also mentioned in bug 345571. |
