This works fine for me. Are you sure that - you are in the Java editor? - the attached stack trace is related (happens when generating getter/setter)? I guessed this might happen when you use quick fix to generate getter and setter (in another CU), but I couldn't reproduce that case either on Ubuntu 9.10 build I20111018-0850.
