Description Markus Keller CLA 2011-09-16 10:07:58 EDT
The 4.x build download pages at http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/ are missing origin information for the individual builds.

For 3.x builds, I can always check the map files to find out what exactly went into the build. For 4.x builds, I see neither map files nor the 3.x base build.

This will be fixed by 355430.
Comment 2 Markus Keller CLA 2011-09-16 11:34:07 EDT
If bug 355430 just switches the primary build target, then 3.8 builds will be missing the info (and this bug converts to fixing the new secondary build).
Comment 3 Kim Moir CLA 2011-09-16 15:09:37 EDT
Markus,

When we switch to running the 4.2 build as the primary build, it will run with all the 3.8 build's stuff (perf tests, JUnit tests on multiple platforms, PDE API Tools, links to map files etc), as well as compiling all the bundles. Right now, the 3.8 build compiles most of the bundles, and the 4.2 build just adds the extra bundles on top and includes some new features.

This is one of the first items that I will look at after the git migration is complete :-)

I think the basics are now down on download pages, though suspect there are still issues, please open new bugs if found.
