I am heavily using Mylyn tasks to orginize my work, interact with users, etc. Especially for the latter I ofter need to copy the Web-URL of tasks in order to be able to paste them into e-mails, documentation, etc.

Currently, I first have to press the "Open with Web Browser" button so that I can then copy the URL form the browser's location bar. It would be great if there was an additional action in the "Open with Web Browser" menu which directly copies the URL to clipboard.

Have you tried using Copy Details > URL from the popup menu? It should copy the URL of the selected task to the clipboard.

Thanks, this works! I had the suspicion that something like this exists, but I just looked in the wrong place.

I am happy with the approach described in comment 1, feel free to close this issue. Or leave it open as documentation for others who look for the URL copy command in the wrong place ;-)
