As per discussion on bug 347720, the active task should be removed from the drop down menu of the task trim widget, and an  "open active task" option should be added at the bottom of the menu.

I tried also removing the current task from the list but I found it confusing not being able to see it selected there. Shift+clicking the active task does work too, but this having a menu item is easier and more discoverable.
