Description benson margulies CLA 2011-08-28 21:14:28 EDT
Build Identifier: 0.12.0

None of the tycho-demo projects builds a repo from features. Add this to itp02 as a quick way to expand the coverage.

Reproducible: Always

due to bug 342851

this won't work as long as tycho 0.13.0 is not released

Jan,

Isn't this a little rough to reject this instead of keeping it for the release?

Why don't you make a branch in git for changes targetting 0.13.0? What if someone wanted to make other demo improvements or repairs intended to align with 0.13.0?

itp02 demo project demonstrates interoperability between tycho manifest-first and maven-bundle-plugin pom-first projects. I agree that proposed "build a repo from features" demo does not belong here. And generally, demo projects are not meant to show every possible variation of all tycho features, so I am not sure we actually need a separate demo that builds repository from features.

That's a different criticism.

Folks,

Since you don't seem to publish conventional maven sites for Tycho, and since the doc is quite fragmentary, it would be really good if there were a lot more demos covering more scenarios. I am perfectly willing, for example, create a whole new 'itp' to specifically focus on the p2 stuff.

wdyt?
