Besides altering the layout data, the control itself must also be set to visible. This is a bug in the DetailsContentViewer inner class. *** Bug 359233 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Remy, is this a platform defect or is it EGIT ? Created attachment 202263 [details] Screenshot depicting the problem in question. 1. Navigate > Open Git Commit... 2. Ctrl+F10 > Check 'Show Status Line' 3. Uncheck it now. 4. Start resizing the dialog vertically. You will start seeing the status line in the "background".
