Build Identifier: I20110803-1800

When debugging a java app, Eclipse normally opens a console titled [Java Application], which displays stdout and stderr. However, on occasion, it starts opening an additional console -- titled [Debug Console], that doesn't display anything (pls see attached scrshots). No settings were changed, the behavior appears to be random. Upon restarting Eclipse, it stops launching the [Debug Console]. I found this posting that describes the same problem - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6462805/disable-eclipse-debug-console

I've seen this happen with 3.7 and 3.6 as well.

passmasterml, please stop changing the location of the bug, Platform Debug owns the console support for Eclipse.

For me it only happens when I have the console in a separate window and on a separate screen from the main eclipse window.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.
