Description

I believe that you can nominate the creation of a SO site yourself. See http://area51.stackexchange.com. In my wild fantasy world, the "official" Eclipse forums are run by Eclipse enthusiasts and users. *I* am not going to do it. I feel this is an area where the community can step up and help out. (In reply to Denis Roy from comment #3) > *I* am not going to do it. I feel this is an area where the community can > step up and help out. I understand that position, but the success of such an effort seems likely to depend a lot on how the Eclipse Foundation endorses and promotes such a thing as THE place for community discussions. Put another way: if eclipse.stackoverflow.com existed in parallel to forums.eclipse.org, I doubt it would garner enough participation to graduate from the area51 incubator. |
