+1. Not even a workaround via "Show In > Package Explorer" works (bug 363567). (In reply to comment #0) > If I select an untracked file in my workspace from the 'Staging' view and try > 'Replace with File in Git Index' to delete the file, it doesn't work. Maybe this > should work. Or maybe another entry should be available for deleting the file, I > don't know. If the latter, then please disable the menu item. I think it is better to use 'Replace with File in Git Index' so it would be possible to apply the operation when multiple files are selected. This is fixed in egit 1.3, right? *** Bug 375396 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #3) > This is fixed in egit 1.3, right? Nope, the bug is still here and still causes a lot of unnecessary work. The "Replace with" actions should really operate on the selection, and hence also replace untracked files. Add "Remove Untracked Files" to the StagingView
I'm sorry to say, but this was already implemented in bug 384609 (it also works for non-workspace resources). Please use a nightly build, where the Delete action is available. Technically, bug 384609 is the duplicate, but as the other one is already resolved, I'm going to mark this one as the duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 384609 *** |
