The error with SWT handles typically occurs when there are too many resources open in the OS. Not quite clear to me what can be done here at the moment.

Is it a bug ,or not?
Comment 7 Krzysztof Daniel CLA 2011-08-10 02:14:06 EDT
I must admit I do not understand the bug report. What do you mean by the OS close? Do you hibernate it? Or just put in a sleep mode? Then you wake it up, and then Eclipse crashes? Or maybe do you close OS with Eclipse running, shutdown your PC, and then your are not able to start your Eclipse anymore?

Could you clarify the reproduction steps as well as what you do to recover from the crash?

I mean that
1.I power off the os or I just restart the os with Eclipse running.
2.Enter the os
3.double click the eclipse.exe~~~ crash happens.
I am not able to start your Eclipse anymore

It is clear?

Do you get this problem if you kill Eclipse manually instead of having Windows kill it when it shuts down?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
