Description Beat Schwarzentrub CLA 2011-08-05 10:27:01 EDT
Build Identifier: 3.7.0.2011-Jun 2011

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When a text is too long for a label's width, the text is cut off, three dots are added (...). The full text can be seen in the label's tool tip.

Labels are cut off correctly for buttons, radio buttons and check boxes, but no tool tip with the full text is shown. (See attached example.)

EVALUATION:
Tool tips for cut-off labels are generated by JLabelEx ("setAppropriateTooltipTextEx()"). This functionality is missing for JButton(Ex), JCheckBox(Ex) and JRadioButton(Ex).

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Improve JButtonEx, JCheckBoxEx and JRadioButtonEx according to the existing code in JLabelEx.

Reproducible: Always
