error log
I've just realized that "-XX:-UseLoopPredicate" JVM argument helps. So this must be same unfamous issue Lucene guys ran into: http://adtmag.com/articles/2011/08/01/java-7-crashing.aspx This is a bug in Oracle's JRE. The only thing we could do is add a download warning and a readme entry. John, let's discuss this at the PMC meeting. We've announced this on the cross-project- and eclipse-dev lists. *** Bug 357319 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 359660 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 361419 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 361837 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 362091 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Looks like it was fixed in the JDK 7u2 release, I no longer have the issue. java.runtime.version=1.7.0_02-b13 java.version=1.7.0_02 java.vm.version=22.0-b10 According to their change log, it looks like it was already fixed in the 7u1 release: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/7u1-relnotes-507962.html (But I must’ve missed it, or they decided to skip a public release.) *** Bug 367263 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** +1 I can reproduce in the following environment Eclipse Version: 3.7.2.v20120207-1839-9gF7UHPDFxGjd-PqDr2jX_4yKaumkoHTz04_q-q Build id: M20120208-0800 Java: 1.7.0-b147 OS: Windows 7 64 bit. *** Bug 380681 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** it reproduces in jdk 1.7u4 (In reply to comment #14) > it reproduces in jdk 1.7u4 Works fine for me using: java version "1.7.0_04" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_04-b22) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.0-b21, mixed mode) If you still see the crash, I suggest you file a new bug with all the details. Before that, make sure that Eclipse is indeed using that VM. *** Bug 401122 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 405707 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I was able to reproduce a crash using IE 9 and different JREs. See bug 407304 for details. *** Bug 413011 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 413602 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 379608 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
