Eclipse Import Projects wizard gives project already exist warning on Refresh

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a Java project(any project)
2. Copy the location of the project
3. Delete the project from work space
4. Start Import Wizard File > Import
5. Paste the location into select root directory box:
6. Click on Refresh
7. Tick the 'Copy projects into workspace' checkbox
8. Click on refresh
9. You will get "Some projects cannot be imported because they already exist in the workspace" error Warning and Finish button disabled.

I haven't tried with importing a new project into workspace.

Please see comment 4.
Comment 6 Dani Megert CLA 2012-10-03 05:13:55 EDT
This bug is still present in 3.8.1 and 4.2.1.

1. delete a project from workspace but not from disk
2. try to import it again
==> does not work
Comment 7 Dani Megert CLA 2012-10-03 06:54:11 EDT
Workaround:
1. deselect 'Copy projects into workspace'
2. click 'Refresh'
Comment 8 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-04-20 13:03:58 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
