Eclipse won't run when launched from an installation folder when the path of that folder contains certain characters. I have established '@' and '!' as such characters, there will be others. These characters are valid characters for file paths on Windows (from what I was able to establish only the following are not \/:*?"<>| .
The result is an error dialog giving the command line that was used to launch Eclipse.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download Eclipse 3.7 Classic for Windows (I used 64-bit version)
2. Create a folder called 'abc@' somewhere in your file system
3. Extract the Eclipse .zip file into this folder
4. Try running the installed Eclipse

This is a known issue and is covered in the README file that is shipped with the Eclipse SDK.
