Monitoring of task activity is based on interaction events and coupled to the context framework. To improve modularity and reuse of tasks task activity related classes should be extracted to a separate bundle and injected through an extension point.

The org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.core.activityMonitor extension point now allows registration of a single activity monitor for track active time. The only implementation of an activity monitor is provided in org.eclipse.mylyn.context.tasks.ui.
