It used to be the case that you could start the agent and then connect to it via the ITE pretty much straight away. It now takes around 20 seconds for the icon to appear in the system tray. Trying to connect in the meantime gives the error that the AUT Agent may not be started, which could be confusing.

This is caused due to a major change of the used architecture ("plain" Java application --> Equinox / Eclipse application) of the underlying application framework - there is not that much we can do about this.
