It appears to be downloading the repository index (In reply to comment #1) > It appears to be downloading the repository index Confirmed. Download is very slow though. After waiting for the download to complete the editor seems usable again. Maybe the users should be noticed that a repository index download is in progress (best would be to show exact state in percent), should they? closing old/stale bugreports |
Created attachment 200135 [details] Eclipse Threaddump (by VisualVM) Whenever I use auto complete in the POM editor (i.e. Plugin Name Completion or Plugin Configuration Items Completion) the editor hangs and so does Eclipse. Steps to reproduce ------------------ Open a POM in the POM editor. Add a build/plugins/plugin node. Add a groupId node. Scenario a) Press Ctrl+Space to get any suggestions for an available groupId. Scenario b) Enter the plugin data manually and add a configuration node. Type < (open tag). Actual results -------------- Eclipse hangs. Expected results ---------------- a) Eclipse presents me a list of available groupIds or an error message/standard list if the list is not available (after some time). b) A list with possible configuration elements is displayed to the user or an error message/standard list if this list is not available (after some time). Build date & platform --------------------- Eclipse Indigo Release 20110615-0604 Maven Integration for Elipse 1.0.0.20110607-2117 Windows 7 SP1 x64 Additional info --------------- Find a full thread/stack dump of the hung Eclipse attached.
