The Glassfish server doesnt appear in the server view of Eclipse Helios even after the Oracle Glass fish server tools plugin is installed, have tried many workarounds given in the Eclipse forums, but none worked.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Goto server view in the Eclipse, right click and New server, Click on download additional server adapters.
2.Install Glassfish server tools, restart Eclipse, the Glassfish server adaptor plugins doesnt appear in the server view.
3.Workaround - install it as a new sfotware from http://download.java.net/glassfish/eclipse/helios the plugin gets installed but still the view of glassfish servers doesnt appear.

Did you expand the "Oracle" category in the "new servers" page? Maybe it appears there.

Anyway, this is not an eclipse bug and should be reported in a relevant Oracle forum for the Glassfish server. I intend to close as NOT_ECLIPSE.

Let's move this to Webtools.
Comment 4 Elson Yuen CLA 2011-07-25 14:24:21 EDT
Given that the Glassfish server adapter is a server adapter owned by individual vendor and not part of WTP, you'll need to report this problem to Oracle directly to get this problem resolved. I am resolving this defect as not eclipse.
