The "New Child" menus are not visible when a containment link is selected in the model explorer.

Fixed in r5093.

The menu appears and available element can only be created if the make sense for the selected EReference.

I added a similar bugzilla entry (see bug #355517) for move by D&D and copy/paste, not just creation.
