I would be happy to provide screenshots or screencast of error.

1) create new task repository for Jira
2) provide *valid* username and password
3) check "save password"
4) click "validate settings"
--> Error "INvalid Credentials"
5) Uncheck "save password" (password typed in step 2 remains)
6) click "validate settings"
--> Settings valid!

This also happens every time I update the repository. If i just enter the password, its fine. If I check "save password" it fails.

Its really annoying, because although I can use the repository, I must enter my password for every single action

Eddie, I recommend verifying that the secure store is available in the preferences under General > Security > Secure Storage.
