I'm working on Libra project and I need model listeners for synchronizing PDE and WTP models. IPluginModelListener works fine, but it's an internal class. 

IModelChangedListener is exposed as API, but it has two problems:

   1. It's not a global model listener, so in order to achieve what I want, I have to add a listener instance to every single bundle, which is a bit too much.

   2. When the listener gets an event it contains no info about the change - the changedObjects member is an empty array and changedProperty, newValue and oldValue are null.

It would be nice to have global model listener exposed as API and to fix IModelChangedListener to return info about the change.

If we move forward with bug 159072 we may have a good opportunity to improve the model event handling.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
