Not all known build file types are allowed by default in the Add Buildfile dialog from the Ant View. Currently you have the option to "Show only *.xml files", but by default that should probably read "Show only known Ant buildfile kinds" (or similar).

The default filter for the selection dialog would then be expanded to include:

1. *.xml
2. *.ant
3. *.ent
4. *.macrodef

The workaround for this is to un-check the "Show only *.xml files" option and search for your other Ant build file kinds.
