Sounds like a dupe of bug 101224. What happens if you reset your ANT_HOME to the default location? See bug 101224 comment#13 for more information about resetting ANT_HOME within Eclipse. I've done some more testing and I discovered the following. I install eclipse in a folder called apps. I have several eclipse installs here. I create a link to this folder (or whatever eclipse is 'the' eclipse). When I run eclipse I always go through the symbolic link. Eclipse can then no longer find ant or its own tasks. I can reset ant home explicitly to a specific folder and that works. I can call eclipse by not going through the symbolic link. Its the use of the symbolic link which breaks eclipse. (In reply to comment #2) > Eclipse can then no longer find ant or its own tasks. So on the Ant > Runtime preferences page you are setting ANT_HOME to be the path to this symlink? > I can reset ant home explicitly to a specific folder and that works. > I can call eclipse by not going through the symbolic link. Good to know. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
