If the search word is a compound with hyphen ("-") and contains a wildcard (e.g. "pop-u?" or "pop-u*") then nothing is found even though there should be some results (e.g. for "pop-up"). Steps to reproduce (A): <http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/index.jsp?tab=search&searchWord=pop-u*> Is: Only 5 matches, all in "EMF Developer Guide" Should: 185 or more matches: <http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/index.jsp?tab=search&searchWord=pop-up> Steps to reproduce (B): 1. Open Eclipse Help: Help > Help Contents 2. In "Search:" enter "pop-u?" or "pop-u*" + Click "Go" Is: "Nothing found." Should: Number of results must be equal or greater than searching for "pop-up" (Also in Ganymede nothing is found: <http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/index.jsp?tab=search&searchWord=pop-u*>) Maybe related: bug 219928
