The ability to return Constructor results from Native SQL queries has been proposed for JPA 2.1.  Just like the "NEW" keyword in JPQL the ConstructorResult specified in an SQLResultSetMapping allows the designated result columns to be passed to a constructor and the resulting instance returned in the query result.
