By definition, .target file contains all information necessary to resolve the target platform. This means tycho-version-bump-plugin:update-target should be able to resolve latest versions of .target file entries regardless if pom.xml file is present or not. In fact, as of tycho 0.12 I can't think of any information update-target mojo may be using from the pom.

  ** Set status as CLOSED MOVED
  ** Submit

All issues that remain open will be automatically closed next week or so. Then the Bugzilla component for Tycho will be archived and made read-only.
