m2e silently ignores duplicate/conflicting lifecycle mapping configuration in pom.xml file. need to create error markers on offending mapping elements instead. Originally reported in this m2e-users thread http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/m2e-users/msg00900.html
