Whiteboard:

Description Alex Blewitt CLA 2011-06-22 06:46:42 EDT
The indigo composite P2 repository is missing a p2.index file, which means clients will try and look for non-existent files and cause a lot of 404 errors.

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/p2.index

This file should consist of the following text:

version=1
metadata.repository.factory.order=compositeContent.jar,!
artifact.repository.factory.order=compositeArtifacts.jar,!

Thus, when P2 clients connect, they'll know to ask for compositeContents.jar straight away, without probing content.jar and causing a 404 first of all.
