Description Doug Schaefer CLA 2011-06-20 22:59:28 EDT
We're looking for a replacement for the CVS genie. The suggestion is to use gitzilla, http://www.theoldmonk.net/gitzilla. Gitzilla provides git hooks and uses a config file to specify bugzilla id and password. It then uses pybugz to hook up to bugzilla.

Now we could set that up ourselves, but I was wondering if you had plans or objections.

Other than putting a Bugzilla user id/password, I see no problems with this. Is there anything you want us to do?
Comment 2 Doug Schaefer CLA 2011-06-21 11:26:09 EDT
Thanks, Denis. I'll give gitzilla a try and see what issues I run into. Root access may be needed to set things up but I'll try without.

How did it go?
Comment 4 Doug Schaefer CLA 2013-03-22 12:20:10 EDT
Ran into some roadblock or other.

We have custom scripts we're now using both internally and with CDT. They're running on a local machine here though. I may consider your other request and revive cdt.eclipse.org to run them there. These may be applicable to everyone but I need to take a look.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

Doug, I think we've implemented this functionality by using the See Also field, right?

Yes, love the new stuff. I'll close this one. Thanks!
