"Generation reports" are now supported by both the Java and JavaScript generators; these produce an HTML version of the generated source that allows you to hover over code fragments to view the template stack which produced that fragment.

We need a generator preference in the EGL Compiler prefs to toggle the production of these reports (currently you have to comment out a line of code in the generator of interest).

I believe this is as simple as adding a checkbox to the preferences for both generators.

changing from defect to enhancement (Importance = Enhancement)
Comment 3 Justin Spadea CLA 2012-06-19 13:59:35 EDT
Do we still need this? Users can add the generation argument "-report" in the properties dialog to enable report generation.
Comment 4 Matt Heitz CLA 2012-11-14 11:16:16 EST
Closing. As Justin wrote, add the -report option if you want a generation report.
