Steps:
1) Clone git://github.com/bokowski/empty.git
2) Go to Navigator and try to open Git Log
3) There are no branches in the repo and in the console we can see lots of 400 errors

We should rather return 404 (Not Found) and handle it well in Git Log. We also should disable the Git log action in Navigator. I'll raise a separate bug for it, since it may require a fix in JGit.

Fixed with 908052e7fbc7634a47ad0f78ee377b4b0a4572b3. I also opened Bug 349663.
