Description Beth Tibbitts CLA 2011-06-16 17:51:22 EDT
On top of Eclipse classic RC5 (from from http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/I20110613-1736)
I installed some XML tools and then cdt-master*.zip from its RC4+ zip archive (available at http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/builds/8.0.0/I.I201106151055/index.html)
I think I restarted here.

Then, while installing ptp 5.0 RC5 (from ptp-master*.zip archive at http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ptp/builds/indigo/I.I201106140904/index.html), i get:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=SDKProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,org.eclipse.jgit,1.0.0.201106011211-rc3

**OK i think this is because I haven't YET added http://download.eclipse/org/releases/staging to the list of repos at this point***
** and JGit isn't in the default list of repos e.g. in releases/indigo.

So next I try installing PTP from the repo:

When installing PTP from the http://download.eclipse/org/releases/staging repo,
I select from Programming Languages:
     Fortran (Photran),
and from General Purpose Tools,
Parallel Tools Platform (PTP) End-User Runtime
and everything that starts with PTP
hit Next, and the 'next' button is not enabled. I'm stuck.

*** Is there some stale state info somewhere and it still thinks something is missing?
Seems like at this point is should be able to find everything.
It *did* find RSE stuff etc. from releases/staging

Error log says essentially the same as the error above:

A subsequent install, in a fresh untarred eclipse classic, installed cdt-master*.zip
then PTP installed from releases/staging, all worked ok.

I have not been able to reproduce this.
