As an additional thought here we don't want to go down the path of having people craft specific bits of preferences UI. We instead want to do something more metadata driven.

I suppose the work left to do in this bug is to extend the plugins page to allow viewing and editing of all plugin properties?

which brings the plugin part up to par with the old plugins list.

Let's open new bugs if that's not true.
