From the errors being logged it looks like some of the files are not readable nor writable. Could you please indicate is the eclipse install is marked read only or the drive where it is executed is somewhat special? C:\altera\11.0_B157_B204_acds\nios2eds\bin\eclipse_nios2\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine\profileRegistry\epp.package.cpp.profile\ This folder appears to be writable by admin only: C:\altera\11.0_B157_B204_acds\nios2eds\bin\eclipse_nios2\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine\profileRegistry\epp.package.cpp.profile\ I'm using an installer that creates/copies files/subdirectories with administrator privilege to copy Eclipse. I think you should be able to reproduce this by unzipping eclipse zip file as administrator, and make sure the p2 folder is writable by admin only. All I have with me is a mac on which I tried the specific package but version SR2 and it works. I'm wondering if it is not the installer step you mention that cause pbs. Could you please try downloading the original package (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/helios/SR2/eclipse-cpp-helios-SR2-win32-x86_64.zip), unzip, make it read only and see if it still occurs. Thx. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie. Works for me on Fedora and there haven't been any other similar complains. Closing. Please reopen if it's still and issue for you. |
