If you want to edit a transition point you can open the edit dialog, but the transition point is not marked as selected. All other elements (states, choice points) will be marked as selected.

Yes, several month ago I discussed that with the graphiti team.
For non resizable items (like transition points and ports) the dashed orange selection line is not shown because no resize handle is shown.

Now all selected shapes are highlighted in light orange using an ISelectionInfo.
