*** Bug 346330 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Throwing this into the pile for 0.7 since it's something we have been trading notes about. Maybe we can largely re-use the branding and product plug-ins from CE. I'd like to go even further with this... - install into our own folder, ex: \Program Files\EGL development tools - wrapper the .exe to something like edt.exe with its own icon None of the other Eclipse products include an installer - you just unzip it wherever you want and it's ready for use. CE did not include an installer. Theresa - can you see whether the other "Eclipse IDE for xxx Developers" IDEs have specialized/customized splash screens and .exe names (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/)? For example, does the PHP IDE have its own "special" PHP/Eclipse splash screen? Does it also have its own special .exe name? We should get Kim working on the splash screen as soon as we figure out what is "normal". PHP IDE was a bad example, considering this example: Due to lack of a package maintainer for the Indigo release there will be no PHP (PDT) package Created attachment 202149 [details]

32x32 EGL Icon #2
I attached the two 32x32 pixel icons that Kim created for us a while ago. We never decided which one was best. The EGL perspective should be the default. changing to enhancement. This could be delivered after 070 GA date. Justin, can we mark this as complete for .7 now? IDE builds were produced for Linux 32 & 64 bit, and Windows 32 & 64 bit. Delivered for 0.7. |
