Patch applied to CVS HEAD; it should be in the *next* build (i.e. not the one that is running just now)

(Commit rights - as far as I can see it is either the committer paper work ('Waiting for candidate paperwork') that is missing, or some actions from the webmasters are required, but they have other problems right now.)

Regarding the package change and egit: I think we can resolve this as FIXED.
