RWT currently lacks a means for application developers to initialize an application context (e.g. register service handlers, phase listeners, initialize attributes in application store, etc.) at a central location, see also bug 347002.

I think we should introduce some kind of hook that allows for such initializations. A possible solution could involve an OSGi Service that is added whenever an application context is created.
