This would be a great feature. I'm still not sure what else should be added. Removing BuildRoot? Removeing %clean? Removing rm -fr buildroot from beginning of install? Do we want to limit to rpm 4.7+ users (I would say yes!) Please give some more details about the things you have in mind. I worry we're making it too Fedora-specific but I guess if the changes are in RPM upstream, it's not a big deal. /me is not looking forward to rpm5.org users complaining :) That's my main problem though forcing rpm.org users to update seems reasonable to me :). And this cleanup action will be smth like the java5ify type of plugins that were doing things assuming you are using java 5 and you run it on your own risk.
