Description Linuxhippy CLA 2011-05-28 06:26:02 EDT
Build Identifier: 20110218-0911

When running eclipse on Fedora15/xfce, eclipse seems to completly ignore desktop-wide font hinting settings.

All other applications (gtk2, gtk3, QT4, Java Swing) use rgb subpixel hinting, whereas swt/gtk2 only applies grayscale hinting.

Reproducible: Always

SWT is not doing anything special here. We draw using pango+gdk, and when advance is true, pango+cairo.
Does it look right you whan gc.setAdvance(true) before calling gc.drawText() or textLayout.draw() ?

Can't reproduce this on Fedora 25. Closing. Please reopen if still happens on recent system.
