Description
Jochen Wiedmann
Please provide standalone example project and detailed description of desired behaviour when the project is imported in Eclipse workspace. Don't assume m2e developers know anything about maven-jaxb-plugin ;-) Created attachment 196860 [details] Small demo project Here's the requested demo project. Note, that you might need to add the Sun Maven repository to your settings (see http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-coping-with-sun-jars.html) to build it. Btw, I'd be interested to contribute the necessary changes, if you'd be ready to guide me. Fact is, that I'd need to have a lot of similar plugins added afterwards before pushing my colleagues to Indigo and m2e 0.13. Forgot the desired behaviour: The plugin generates Java sources. As a consequence, it is absolutely required for the build and the behaviour should be "execute". There's a another jaxb plugin as well: org.jvnet.jaxb2.maven2:maven-jaxb2-plugin, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2432859/difference-of-maven-jaxb-plugins Should i file a seperate bug-report for that plugin, or try to migrate my projects to the com.sun one ? I suggest you wait, Michael. As the plugins are doing basically the same things, it might be that we can handle them all together. If anyone is interested to develop support for maven-jaxb-plugin, relevant information is available here http://wiki.eclipse.org/M2E_Extension_Development . We'll be happy to answer questions on m2e-dev mailing list too. m2e core development team is looking for help implementing support for various "not covered" maven plugins. If you are interested, wiki [1] provides pointers where to start and we'll be happy to answer questions on m2e-dev mailing list. To avoid duplicate effort, please assign this bugzilla item to yourself if you already work on corresponding m2e extension.
