Description Markus Knauer CLA 2011-05-27 09:54:10 EDT
I've seen that many of the requests go to the EPP repository (which is a composite repo itself). I had always the idea to mirror them into one EPP repository for each Simultaneous Release. It would probably be a good time to start doing this for Indigo.

a year has passed and Juno is approaching; is the intention to fix this for Juno?

Good pointer... so far I had no intention, but since you were pinging me I'll give that a try beginning with the next Juno RC (RC2) later this week.

glad to hear. Hopefully we can then close bug 347403 for Juno.
Comment 5 Markus Knauer CLA 2012-06-01 09:10:40 EDT
As a test I've created a single aggregated p2 repository with the EPP package information at /technology/epp/packages/juno that contains the Juno RC1 + Juno RC2 content.

If we see any problems with this change, I can roll back everything and use the old composite repository at this URL. If we don't experience any problems, I will add next weeks RC3 repository on top of it.

Comment 7 Jan Sievers CLA 2012-11-05 08:22:23 EST
with Juno SR1 out, I can see that there is now only one EPP repo

http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/juno/content.jar

as opposed to e.g. Indigo

http://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/packages/indigo/compositeContent.jar

which has 3 child repos for R, SR1 and SR2.

This means we can close this bug?

Yes, thanks for the reminder. Closing it now as FIXED.
