It's been recently brought to my attention that some posts from the eclipse.epsilon NNTP newsgroup (nntp://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.epsilon) appear twice in the web-based Epsilon forum (http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/f/22/).

More specifically some posts with replies, appear both as they should, and as posts without replies. An example of this can be found below (both forum posts refer to the same NNTP post)

This is clearly not a critical issue but it can give the false impression to people who navigate though older posts that some posts in the forum never get replied to (which can be discouraging for some prospective users).

Until this is debugged and fixed, you can use the "Report message to a moderator" link in any message to point it out as a duplicate. I've already deleted the no-response duplicate listed above.

I'm not sure if it's the same issue but there are still duplicated posts/threads in the forums. For example, on http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/f/34/, there are two duplicated threads on March 16, 2012.

I concur - there are regularly duplicate messages on the forum, when using the web interface.

I'm not sure if it's the same issue, but this message [1] shows up only partly with NNTP.

I've cleaned up that thread.  I'll be addressing this issue today, but we are tracking it in another bug.
